Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer / Software Developer to help build a world-class, API-driven certificate automation platform. This role focuses on integrating TLS certificate lifecycle management into fully automated server and application builds-enabling secure, compliant deployments.

You will design and deliver automation that connects CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and certificate management capabilities to eliminate manual certificate handling, reduce cyber risk, and dramatically improve deployment velocity across a large enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on engineering and development role with high visibility and direct impact on platform scalability and security posture.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop secure APIs and automation services for end-to-end TLS certificate lifecycle management.
  • Integrate certificate lifecycle management with CI/CD pipelines to automate certificate request, issuance, installation, and renewal.
  • Embed certificate automation directly into full server and application build workflows.
  • Build scalable, self-service solutions that reduce manual effort and security risk.
  • Collaborate with engineering, platform, and operations teams to drive adoption of secure-by-default designs.
  • Implement production-grade automation solutions.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders on enhancements, upgrades, and roadmap execution.
  • Create clear documentation, runbooks, and technical design artifacts.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, software development, or automation.
  • Strong expertise in PKI, TLS certificates, and certificate authority concepts.
  • Solid understanding of cryptography (encryption, digital signatures, key management).
  • Proven experience building automation tools or APIs using PowerShell and/or C#.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integrations and/or terraforming.
  • Experience with code signing and securing cloud or distributed applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Venafi or similar enterprise certificate management platforms and their related automation capabilities.
  • Experience authoring or maintaining Ansible (Tower/AAP/Open Source) playbooks.
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure, including serverless or cloud-native services.
  • Experience deploying and securing containerized applications.
  • Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems.

Benefits & conditions

  • Build a platform, not just scripts-with real scale and enterprise impact.
  • Own critical security automation used across server and application builds.
  • Influence architecture, standards, and long-term automation strategy.
  • Solve meaningful security and engineering problems with modern tooling.
