Job description
Our client, a leading manufacturer of custom industrial sheet metal products, is searching for an experienced CAD designer to join their internal engineering team. In this role, The CAD designer will be asked to strategize about new product ideas, create those designs and work closely with the engineering team to revise existing designs to meet the needs of their customers. The ideal candidate will have tenure, industry experience and a positive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
Requirements
- Ability to create and design ideas for new products to add to the company's offerings.
- Responsible for taking existing designs and make adjustments to meet the specific needs of customer orders.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing process is required.
- Experience in laser and punch programming is needed for this job.
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders from executive level to machine operators on the production floor.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred but not required.
- 3+ yrs of relevant experience in sheet metal manufacturing is strongly desired.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault.
