Job description

Insight Global is hiring a Systems Administrator for one of our healthcare clients. This individual will support enterprise server, network, and security environments across multiple physical locations. The role includes advanced troubleshooting and escalation support from Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT staff, as well as hands-on responsibility for maintaining system reliability, security, and performance.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring uptime, safeguarding information systems, and supporting disaster recovery initiatives. The Systems Administrator will also contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts and evaluate new technologies to improve operational efficiency., * Monitor server systems to ensure the integrity of hardware, security, and infrastructure processes

  • Coordinate and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for enterprise systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and recover from hardware and software failures, outages, and disruptions
  • Handle escalated tickets from Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support staff
  • Support and maintain network technologies, including firewalls, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and switching
  • Monitor and respond to network and security-related events
  • Automate software deployment using GPOs, PowerShell, and internal RMM tools
  • Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed

Support emergency response activities when required

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
  • 1+ year of experience in Windows server administration
  • Knowledgeable in networking technologies, including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, firewall management, and switching
  • Experience with PC hardware support and Windows client operating systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends as needed - Healthcare industry experience
  • Network+, Security+, CCNA, and Windows certifications are desirable
  • Prior knowledge of Veeam and Azure Site Recovery for backup and disaster recovery
  • Experience supporting FortiGate firewalls is also preferred
