Job description

*Please note that whilst the Job Advert advertises the position as a GIS Officer the official Job Title of the post is Strategic and Sustainable Plans Technical Support Officer.

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled and experienced GIS professional to help support the team in the preparation of the new Local Plan. The role will involve creating and editing spatial data and gathering intelligence to inform the policies of the Local Plan. The role will also help provide support to the wider functions of the Strategic and Sustainable Plans team. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate proficient use of GIS software and its application to present spatial data. An understanding of planning policy data and mapping would also be desirable.
