Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. In this role, you will lead the Cross Segment Integration team to perform functional verification analyses, develop cross-IPT processes and frameworks, and coordinate with other IPTs & Customer counterparts for successful integration and verification on military aircraft platform in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with several stakeholders across distributed teams (capability experts, developers, system integrators, system testers, etc.) to support delivery of quality products. This will require your strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors, as well as being well-versed, skilled, and disciplined in system engineering processes Basic Qualifications: * Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs. Preferred Qualifications: * An active, In-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Previous or existing Program Access Request (PAR)
- Control Account Manager experience
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills, decisiveness, and ability to make sound technical judgments with limited information.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- JIRA/Confluence experience
- Experience with Technical Performance Measures (TPM) management
- Experience with System Subsystem Design Description (SSDD)
- Experience with LRU Qualification
- Experience with ICD management
- Experience with verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A)

- Experience with certifications management Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
