Job description

  • Develop and manage functional and performance requirements, ensuring bidirectional traceability within requirements management tools
  • Define and mature functional and physical system architectures to support production-ready solutions
  • Conduct trade studies and support technical decision-making throughout the system lifecycle
  • Plan, organize, and lead internal design reviews and support external review activities
  • Collaborate with integration and test teams to maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and verification plans
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop verification efforts
  • Execute verification activities, analyze results, resolve discrepancies, and drive closure
  • Maintain configuration baselines, manage change impacts, and support version control activities
  • Author and maintain key engineering documentation such as requirements specifications, design descriptions, test plans, and risk artifacts
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to less-experienced engineers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons-learned efforts

Requirements

  • Systems engineering experience supporting complex technical programs
  • Practical experience with requirements development, system integration, trade studies, and verification activities
  • Familiarity with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, MATLAB, or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or mission-critical systems
  • Knowledge of inertial navigation or guidance-related systems
  • Participation in major program milestones such as SRR, SFR, PDR, and CDR
