Job description

The Epic Client Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Epic client systems across the organization. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and availability of Epic environments, while collaborating with infrastructure, application, and support teams., * Install, configure, and maintain Epic client systems, including Hyperspace and related components

  • Manage Epic environments (Production, Test, Development) and ensure system stability
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and system enhancements
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Epic client systems
  • Coordinate with Epic application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors for issue resolution
  • Manage user access, workstation configurations, and Citrix/VDI environments
  • Support printing, device integrations, and workstation deployments
  • Maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and healthcare regulations (HIPAA)
  • Provide on-call support as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Epic Client Systems Administration
  • Strong experience with Epic Hyperspace, Epic environments, and client systems
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Experience with Citrix, VMware, or VDI environments
  • Knowledge of networking basics (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, * Epic Client Systems Administrator Certification
  • Experience in healthcare IT environments
  • Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, batch scripting)
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes
