Job description

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support to join our team in support of a large, highly regulated enterprise operating within the insurance and financial services industry. This role provides hands-on technical support in a complex corporate environment, partnering closely with internal business users, IT teams, and engineering partners. The ideal candidate brings strong customer service skills, technical depth, and the ability to lead and support multiple initiatives simultaneously., In this role, you will lead, plan, coordinate, and deliver technical support related to the implementation, installation, and maintenance of end-user computing environments and associated technologies. You will work within established enterprise guidelines to resolve issues efficiently while providing an exceptional customer experience. This position also includes mentoring team members, contributing to project execution, and serving as a role model for professionalism and adherence to organizational standards. What Will You Do?

  • Lead, plan, coordinate, and provide technical support for computers, network equipment, audio/visual systems, servers, and related peripherals.
  • Support implementation and installation activities in accordance with enterprise standards and processes.
  • Lead complex projects and initiatives while maintaining day-to-day support responsibilities.
  • Analyze, diagnose, document, and resolve hardware, software, network, audio/visual, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, management, engineering partners, and peers.
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating professionalism and supporting corporate culture.
  • Apply strong analytical, business, and technical skills to support internal customers.
  • Coach and mentor team members while coordinating support and project work.
  • Provide guidance to customers regarding equipment standards and appropriate expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with policies related to asset management, travel expenses, and overtime.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of customer-facing, end-user technology support experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Active, valid driver's license.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of macOS, iOS, and Apple devices.
  • Advanced understanding of desktop and laptop configurations and operating systems.
  • Experience with telephony/VoIP systems, audio/visual and collaboration tools, servers, and network technologies.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple large initiatives while supporting daily operational needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience interfacing effectively with customers and IT partners in support scenarios.
  • Ability to assess customer needs accurately and respond with urgency within agreed timelines.
