Job description
The Computer Operator will be responsible for reconciliations between two payment systems, Monflute and eGIFTS, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of various communication systems and backups. This role requires a strong understanding of systems such as AS400 and eGIFTS., * Perform reconciliations between Monflute and eGIFTS payment systems
- Ensure all transactions from Monflute are accurately reflected in eGIFTS
- Monitor and maintain communication systems including SWIFT Sire (AS400 System) and eGIFTS
- Check and ensure proper replication from production systems to backup systems
- Monitor and manage Legato tape backup system
- Order, label, and place tapes in the production server
- Check and ensure backups are running smoothly
- Send tapes to offsite storage regularly
- Monitor eGIFTS and AS400 systems for any issues
- Execute End of Day processes from AS400 and eGIFTS
- Communicate effectively by sending emails for reconciliations and process completions
- Contact Head Office in Italy or eGIFTS support in case of system issues
Requirements
- Experience with IBM MQ services
- Proficiency in AS400 commands
- Knowledge of eGIFTS and Swift systems
- Ability to work with Excel macros and Word
- Familiarity with Teams, Outlook, and file transfer protocols like FileZilla
- Experience with Legato tape backup system
