Job description
Lead Data Platform Engineer to support a large-scale cloud modernization initiative focused on migrating and optimizing enterprise big data platforms within AWS environments.
This role will be part of a Multi-Cloud Environment (Alibaba Cloud & AWS China) and focus on cloud infrastructure automation, big data platform engineering, production support, and modernization of enterprise data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on AWS experience combined with infrastructure automation and big data platform expertise.
Requirements
- Strong experience supporting production cloud environments
- Hands-on AWS experience (EMR, Redshift, S3, IAM)
- Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible
- Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash)
- Experience supporting big data platforms and cloud-based data lakes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience with Spark and/or Informatica environments
- Ability to support and troubleshoot large-scale production systems
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
Preferred Experience
- Alibaba Cloud experience
- Experience working within multi-account AWS environments
- Public cloud certifications
- Experience with enterprise cloud migration initiatives
- Bilingual Chinese/English is a plus
