Insight Global is seeking a Data Governance & MDM Specialist for a top financial services client within the investment banking and advisory space. This candidate will play a hands-on, technical role in building and operationalizing data governance and mastered data capabilities across a modern enterprise lakehouse environment. They will partner closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to implement data quality controls, automation, and stewardship-driven processes that ensure trusted, well-defined data for downstream platforms and analytics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, technology, and the business while helping shape enterprise-wide data governance practices. This is a hybrid role in Midtown, NYC requiring 3 days a week onsite.
Day-to-Day: *Build and maintain concordance and survivorship processes, including matching rules and workflows *Implement automation and human-in-the-loop review processes for mastered data *Support data owners and stewards with business definitions, glossaries, and data domains *Manage data issue logs and coordinate resolution across advisory businesses *Design and implement data quality rules, monitoring, and dashboards *Perform Python- and SQL-based analyses to investigate and resolve data issues *Partner with data architects, Databricks engineers, and BA/PM teams to ensure governed data implementation *Define and prioritize data quality metrics across key domains *Prepare and distribute governance and data quality metrics and updates *Maintain clear documentation of governance standards, rules, and decisions *Support training materials and communications related to data governance *Assist with defining and enforcing CRM data entry standards and validation rules
Requirements
*3-6 years of experience in data governance, data management, MDM, or analytics engineering *Strong SQL and Python skills for data investigation, validation, automation, and data quality *Experience working in modern data environments, including Databricks or similar cloud platforms *Background supporting environments like investment banking, equities, hedge funds wealth, or asset management *Effective cross functional partner and communicator with strong attention to detail and follow through
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
*Experience with concordance, survivorship, entity matching, or MDM processes *Exposure to CRM or deal management platforms (DealCloud, Salesforce) *Experience with BI tools, Excel, and Jupyter notebooks *Familiarity with enterprise lakehouse architectures
