Job description
This role serves as a Scrum Master for an Enterprise Platform Engineering team, with a preference for individuals who have an IT background supporting platform teams. The Senior Scrum Master works with the Product Owner to understand business needs and guides one or more Scrum teams in iteratively developing new features, enhancements, and defect fixes. This position acts as a servant leader, facilitating Agile Scrum processes and removing impediments to enhance team productivity., * Coach the Scrum Team and the organization on the use of Agile/Scrum practices and methodologies.
- Act as a thought leader for the Product Owner, particularly in refining the product backlog to maximize impact.
- Partner with senior-level stakeholders across the organization to advance products and meet customer needs.
- Eliminate impediments to product delivery by working directly with IT and business units.
- Analyze the Agile maturity of the Scrum team(s) and coach them to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
- Foster a trusting and safe environment where the team can address concerns and solve problems collaboratively.
- Facilitate work completion, discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Lead communication efforts to improve transparency and ensure information is shared effectively.
Requirements
Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required. A high school diploma or GED is also required.
Experience: 5 years of work experience in Scrum/Agile or in related information technology, business analysis, or project management roles. 2 years of experience coaching leadership, teams, or individuals and providing work direction.
Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in planning, controlling, and monitoring products in Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Kanban, and SAFe. Experience working within a traditional Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC). Ability to apply standards of test-driven development methods across the full development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master for multiple embedded technology teams.
- Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) and/or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- Certified Team Coach.
Benefits & conditions
The contract duration is through May 31, 2027, with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee. The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $66.00 per hour.
