Job description

Would you like to contribute to cutting-edge AI systems that have real-world impact in challenging environments? We are looking for a Data & AI Engineer to support the full lifecycle of advanced AI models in a high-impact research and operational setting.

You will play a key role in transforming research-grade AI models into reliable, maintainable, and deployable systems. The focus is on scalable data pipelines and model development for complex sensing applications. This role bridges research, engineering, and operational deployment.

Project Context

This position is embedded in an innovative research program focused on AI-driven signal processing and analysis in challenging environments.

AI models developed within this program must meet high standards for:

  • Reliability and robustness
  • Traceability and reproducibility
  • Explainability and auditability

You will help design and implement the infrastructure that enables sustainable AI deployment beyond the research phase.

Your Responsibilities

AI Lifecycle & MLOps

  • Design and implement automated data pipelines
  • Set up and maintain MLOps workflows for experimentation and deployment

Data Engineering

  • Build and maintain scalable data ingestion and preprocessing pipelines
  • Implement structured data storage solutions for training, validation, and auditing
  • Ensure data traceability, integrity, and governance

Software Engineering

  • Develop production-ready, modular, and well-documented code
  • Improve system architecture for robustness and scalability
  • Support integration of AI models into operational software platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or a related field
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles (clean architecture, testing, documentation)
  • Experience with Python and modern development practices
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and version control workflows

Strongly valued:

  • Experience with MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, DVC, or similar)
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)

Benefits & conditions

What We Offer

  • Work on high-impact applications with real-world operational constraints
  • Collaboration within a diverse AI team with a variety of profiles and backgrounds
  • Competitive salary and flexible working conditions
  • Group insurance
  • Hospitalization insurance, including outpatient medical and dental coverage
  • Meal vouchers
  • Mobile phone subscription
  • 12 additional leave days (RTT) for full-time employment
  • Up to 40 remote working days per year
  • A calm, clean, and modern working environment
  • Training and career development opportunities
  • A stable employer with a long-term vision
