Job description
We are building a Tiger Team of Level 2 Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale fiber infrastructure upgrade project for a major enterprise data center client.
This initiative focuses on replacing legacy coax cabling with fiber across multiple data center locations nationwide.
This team will act as the first technical presence at new project sites, spending the initial 6-8 weeks setting up processes, standards, and procedures to ensure each deployment is positioned for long-term success. Once the foundation is established, the team will transition day-to-day responsibilities to longer-term staff and move on to the next site.
Between project assignments, technicians will work onsite at a large data center in their designated home market.
Home Base Locations
This role is site-based and must be home-based in one of the following approved locations:
- Council Bluffs, Iowa
- Lenoir, North Carolina
- Ashburn, Virginia
Candidates must live within a commutable distance of one of these sites.
Responsibilities
- Support fiber and cabling upgrades within large-scale data center environments
- Lead early-stage project execution at new data center locations
- Establish best practices, documentation, and workflows during initial deployments
- Troubleshoot and replace cabling as needed
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and performance
- Provide continuity and support until projects transition to long-term teams
Requirements
- Data center experience
- Cabling (fiber and/or coax)
- Troubleshooting
- Cable replacement experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
