Job description

As Media Streaming R&D Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers working on cutting-edge video streaming technologies for OTT platforms. Your mission will be to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate development activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Operations) to define priorities and optimize workflows.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency of our streaming architecture.
  • Promote Agile best practices, facilitate planning, and manage resource allocation.
  • Represent the team and contribute to strategic decisions.

Requirements

You are an experienced leader with a strong technical background and a passion for video streaming technologies. You combine strategic thinking and people management skills to deliver impactful solutions., * Proven experience in managing software development teams.

  • Solid background in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Go, C++) and modern architectures (Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and project management.

It would be even better if you have:

  • Knowledge of OTT systems and streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, CMAF).

  • Understanding of video/audio standards (H.264, HEVC) and DRM technologies.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
