Job description

You will lead the Application Services team responsible for supporting and maintaining the agency's enterprise applications across on-premises and cloud environments. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and continuously improving.

Primary job duties include:

  • Supervising Application Services and SharePoint teams in the installation, configuration, and support of mission-critical on-premises and cloud applications; ensuring service levels are met, staff are cross-trained, and procedures are documented
  • Leading projects and serving as a primary point of contact for stakeholders; overseeing the analysis, design, and implementation of new or enhanced systems across multiple teams
  • Managing security and compliance efforts, including monitoring vulnerability scans, coordinating remediation activities, supporting incident response, and partnering with Security, Audit, and other technology teams
  • Overseeing stakeholder support and service delivery; establishing and monitoring service standards, SLAs, and performance metrics while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Leading efforts to improve operational efficiency and sustainability; ensuring system documentation, communication, and reporting are timely, accurate, and aligned with agency standards
  • Managing personnel functions, including recruitment, performance management, staff development, and fostering a high-performing, accountable team
  • Providing production support for enterprise systems; overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and after-hours support to ensure system reliability and performance

Requirements

  • Experienced leaders who can manage and develop high-performing technical teams

  • Skilled in enterprise application support across on-premises and cloud environments

  • Strong project managers who can lead complex initiatives from planning through implementation

  • Knowledgeable in IT security, performance, and system reliability best practices

  • Effective communicators who build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors, A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology.

  • Relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree on a year- for-year basis.

  • Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning., + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Thorough knowledge of and experience in Internet applications development and support in the context of a large multi-platform enterprise, including operating systems, application development tools, and graphical user interface (GUI) design, security procedures, and performance considerations.

  • Strong Project Management skills
