Job description

An Insight Global client in the Houston area is seeking an experienced SAP HR (HCM) Consultant to serve as the Lead Functional Owner for the SAP HR module on a major public-sector, transportation-focused S/4HANA implementation. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and driving HR solution design, configuration, and delivery, acting as the primary HR functional authority for the program. The ideal candidate brings hands-on SAP S/4HANA HR experience, has completed at least one full end-to-end S/4HANA implementation, and is comfortable working in a highly regulated public-sector environment. This role is 100% onsite in downtown Houston and requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross-functional SAP workstreams. The pay rate for this position will be anywhere from $95 - $105/hr depending on years of experience.

Requirements

8+ years of SAP HR / HCM functional experience

At least one full end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation (ECC * S/4 or greenfield S/4)

Hands-on configuration experience in SAP HR (not limited to advisory or design-only roles)

Prior public-sector experience (government, transit, education, utilities, etc.)

Experience supporting or working within transportation or asset-intensive organizations

Strong understanding of HR process integration points with SAP Finance and related modules

Proven ability to operate as a module lead in large, cross-functional SAP programs

Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing skills
