Job description

The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of enterprise network infrastructure supporting business operations. This role focuses on designing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing network systems across multiple locations.

Top priorities for this role include SD-WAN, firewall technologies, and wireless networking. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high performance and security across the network., * Design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN, and security systems

  • Lead efforts around SD-WAN architecture, firewall management, and wireless network performance and security
  • Perform proactive monitoring, configuration management, and issue resolution across network environments
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and improve performance
  • Manage and document incidents through a ticketing system, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions
  • Escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to support reliable system operations aligned with business goals
  • Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams, standards, and procedures
  • Analyze capacity and performance trends; contribute to strategic planning, business continuity, and disaster recovery efforts
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting 24/7 operations

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering or administration
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, PCNSE, Network+, Aruba ACMA/ACMP)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-site network environments, * SD-WAN technologies (high priority)
  • Firewall platforms, especially Palo Alto (high priority)
  • Wireless networking, particularly Aruba (high priority)
  • Routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
  • Switching technologies: STP, LACP, VLANs, VPC/MLAG
  • Enterprise platforms, including:
  • Prisma SD-WAN (CloudGenix)
  • Aruba wireless infrastructure (design, configuration, troubleshooting)
  • Aruba and Meraki switching solutions
  • VPN technologies (e.g., SonicWall or similar)
  • Load balancing solutions (e.g., F5 or equivalent)
  • Experience designing and supporting secure wireless networks in distributed environments
