Job description

Insight Global is seeking an API Enablement Release Manager for a leading financial services organization. This individual will own the end-to-end delivery of application releases within a large, complex enterprise environment. The role requires strong alignment of business priorities with enterprise technology direction, while proactively managing risk and ensuring high-quality, on-time production deployments. This is a highly visible role that sits at the center of cross-functional collaboration, working across business, engineering, QA, infrastructure, and production teams. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-driven delivery leader who thrives in ambiguity, communicates effectively across all levels, and consistently drives high-quality release outcomes. Experience with ITSM tools like Remedy, along with exposure to ServiceNow and Agile methodologies, will support success in this evolving enterprise environment. Day-to-Day:

  • Own and manage end-to-end release planning, coordination, and delivery
  • Support release management for API Enablement and enterprise applications
  • Define release scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies
  • Serve as the central communication hub across business, engineering, QA, infrastructure, and production teams
  • Monitor release status, metrics, and quality indicators
  • Validate completion of all release activities before production deployment
  • Proactively escalate risks/issues and drive resolution
  • Ensure releases align with enterprise standards and strategic goals
  • Continuously improve release processes and performance metrics
  • Independently navigate approvals and remove blockers to keep releases on track

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Release Management or similar experience (Release Manager, Scrum Master, Program Manager, Portfolio Manager)

  • 5-10 years of overall IT project / delivery management experience

  • Strong end-to-end change and release management experience

  • Proven experience managing software/application releases across full SDLC

  • Experience aligning business requests with enterprise technology priorities

  • Strong experience working across cross-functional teams: o Business Process Owners o Business Analysts o QA Teams o PMO o Infrastructure & Platform Services o Production Support

  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (BMC Remedy required)

  • Strong application risk management experience

  • Proven ability to identify, escalate, and remediate risks/issues

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal + written)

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline

  • Demonstrated leadership delivering large-scale application releases

  • Experience with JIRA and Agile/Scrum tooling

  • Self-driven, proactive, adaptable; able to navigate ambiguity and unblock issues independently

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience with ServiceNow (transitioning environment)
  • ITIL Certification
  • Agile certifications (Scrum, LeSS)
  • Experience with Confluence and Microsoft Workspace tools (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Information Systems, or related field)
  • Technical background (helpful but not required)
