Job description

· Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs to support internal platforms and customer data systems · Develop and manage data pipelines to ensure consistency, quality, and accessibility across business-critical systems · Build and support integrations between third-party platforms and internal services (e.g., CRM and customer engagement tools) · Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, data flow, and service reliability · Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions · Contribute to system architecture discussions, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability · Work heavily within a cloud-based environment, leveraging AWS services and modern backend frameworks (Node.js)

Requirements

· 8+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable applications and services · Strong experience with Node.js; Python experience is a plus · Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services · Experience working with event-driven architecture and distributed systems · Experience designing and working with APIs and third-party integrations · Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or similar) · Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform is a plus · Exposure to modern data platforms or tooling such as Databricks or Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) is a plus · Experience leveraging modern developer tooling (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) is a plus · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze system performance and health · Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, {"@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","baseSalary":null,"datePosted":"2026-05-05","validThrough":"2027-05-05","description":"

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the CRM Platform team of a fast-growing, product-driven SaaS organization operating at scale. This role will focus on building and maintaining the backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power customer data and communication systems across the business. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in New York City. The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering fundamentals, cloud experience, and a passion for building reliable, scalable systems. U.S. work authorization is required. No visa sponsorship is available at this time.

Responsibilities

Compensation

· Base Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 + $5k-$10k bonus eligible
