Job description
- Lead business development efforts and expand client relationships within Indiana’s transportation and municipal markets.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with INDOT, municipalities, counties, MPOs, utilities, and other public-sector stakeholders.
- Drive pursuit strategies, proposal development, interviews, and project capture efforts.
- Oversee the planning, design, and delivery of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway, utility, stormwater, and site development improvements.
- Provide technical leadership, quality oversight, and strategic guidance to project teams.
- Mentor engineering staff and support professional development initiatives.
- Assist with resource planning, project forecasting, staffing, and proposal budgeting.
- Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations while identifying opportunities for continued growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Indiana PE preferred or ability to obtain within six months.
- 10+ years of experience in transportation, municipal, or civil infrastructure engineering.
- Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and project leadership.
- Experience working with INDOT, municipalities, or other public-sector clients preferred.
- Strong understanding of transportation, roadway, utility, stormwater, and municipal infrastructure design.
- Experience reviewing engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
