Job description

Senior Mainframe developer with strong hands-on experience in CICS and MQ, responsible for designing, coding, and unit testing software across varying levels of complexity within an Agile environment., * Design, code, and unit test software on a predefined schedule using appropriate technologies, techniques, and tools to ensure high quality, performance, and reliability at varying levels of complexity.

Follow department coding standards and write well-documented programs that perform effectively and efficiently.
Perform system analysis and design in accordance with established procedures and policies.
Provide accurate estimates of time needed to complete work.
Proactively explore systems and continuously learn new capabilities.
Deliver results efficiently with minimum supervision as an effective team player.
Communicate clearly and professionally in both office-based and remote workplace environments.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience in CICS and MQ.
Experience in batch processing using COBOL, DB2, and VSAM.
Agile methodology and SDLC experience.
Working experience with Jira, Confluence, and MS Office.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of J2EE, web services, and cloud-based applications and their interactions with mainframe systems, preferably in AWS.
Knowledge of retail banking or lending., 10+ years of relevant experience.
