Job description

The Senior Network Security Engineer will provide L3 support across network and network security operations. This role is responsible for maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructure, supporting incident response, troubleshooting complex connectivity issues, and ensuring infrastructure security controls are functioning effectively., Provide L3 network support across LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and connectivity. Provide L3 network security support for firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls. Maintain and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers. Support routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS. Monitor network performance, availability, security events, and infrastructure health. Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements. Support data center network design principles for reliability and high availability. Partner with vendors for WAN/LAN, cabling, firewall, telecom, and infrastructure services. Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Participate in root cause analysis, incident response, and on-call escalation.

Requirements

7+ years of network engineering, infrastructure support, or related IT experience. Strong L3 network support experience. Strong L3 network security experience. Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, access control policies, and secure network operations. Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, routing, and switching. Experience supporting routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers. Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and incident response skills.
