Job description
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving equipment failures, leading improvement initiatives, and supporting major turnarounds while making a direct impact on plant performance., * Serve as the site’s mechanical reliability resource for rotating and fixed equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, perform root cause analyses (RCFA), and develop long-term corrective actions.
- Support and improve the plant’s Mechanical Integrity and Reliability programs.
- Develop repair strategies, maintenance plans, and equipment specifications.
- Lead reliability improvement projects from scope development through execution, including managing budgets, schedules, contractors, and commissioning activities.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance while mentoring maintenance personnel on reliability best practices.
- Support planning and execution of plant turnarounds and outages.
- Participate in Management of Change (MOC), incident investigations, and ensure compliance with API, ASME, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of reliability, maintenance, or mechanical engineering experience within a chemical, petrochemical, refining, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment reliability.
- Experience with RCFA, mechanical integrity programs, maintenance planning, and MOC.
- Working knowledge of API, ASME, and other applicable engineering standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred
- Experience managing capital or reliability improvement projects.
- Turnaround planning and execution experience.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, condition monitoring, or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
- Experience within specialty chemicals or refining environments.
