Job description
The social media specialist leads all aspects of marketing efforts in our Arizona market. The ideal candidate will ensure consistent, high-quality marketing reach across different social media platforms and coordinate events. This role is responsible for increasing consumer reach through various marketing channels.
The social media specialist works closely with senior leadership to establish a strong presence in the community and enhance our marketing presence to drive consumer.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes the organization’s public image through interactions with business, industry, and local leaders.
- Schedules public events such as speaking engagements and facilities tours.
- Writes, reviews, and/or distributes press releases and other public-facing communication pieces.
- Prepares and posts external, public-facing communication for social media and other online platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry forums.
- Prepares and distributes public outreach mailings such as holiday cards, magazines, brochures, newsletters, and similar efforts.
- Develops and maintains positive professional relationships with members of the media and with local civic organizations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for external publications.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (or equivalent license) in applicable states.
Education and Certifications:
- An associate’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity levels, and bright grow lighting., * Fast-paced production environment with exposure to cannabis plant material, strong odors, and agricultural chemicals (with PPE).
