Job description

Seeking a senior Epic Business Intelligence Analyst to build and support high-impact reporting and analytics for a large healthcare environment. This Epic Business Intelligence Analyst role focuses on the Epic Cogito suite and requires strong hands-on experience with Epic Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle, plus advanced SQL. You’ll partner with business and clinical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytics that drive decisions., * Design, build, test, deploy, document, and maintain Epic reporting/analytics solutions using Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle

  • Gather business requirements and translate into technical specifications, metrics, dashboards, and automated reporting
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, datasets, and data extracts to support reliable analytics outputs
  • Create self-service reporting assets and support end-user data exploration and data literacy
  • Troubleshoot reporting and data issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, data architects, and stakeholders across multiple departments
  • Follow development best practices, quality standards, and data security expectations (PHI/PII)
  • Support agile work practices and communicate dependencies to deliver complete solutions

Requirements

  • Epic certifications required: Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Model
  • 5+ years relevant experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or data warehousing
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong experience delivering production reporting solutions
  • Experience working with healthcare data sources (EHR workflows, claims, registries, extracts)
  • Strong communication skills (requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder presentations)
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI preferred
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and tools (e.g., SSIS, Snowflake) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field
