  • Conduct walkthroughs of the facility and record equipment readings and system performance.
  • Inspect medium- and low-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), backup generators, transfer switches, and battery systems.
  • Escalate equipment issues quickly and communicate findings to the appropriate teams.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors while ensuring all work follows established safety procedures.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and on-call support as required.
  • Maintain accurate inspection logs and documentation while following all safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a critical environment such as a data center, manufacturing facility, or similar mission-critical operation.
  • Experience monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Monitoring Systems (EMS), or SCADA systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a critical operations environment.
  • Experience performing inspections of electrical distribution and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly identify and escalate issues.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and system monitoring.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as part of the assigned schedule.

Preferred Skills

  • HVAC or Electrical license or certification.
