Job description
This client is in the process of consolidating multiple groups, into its main IT Department, creating a larger, more integrated IT organization. As a result, there are a number of exciting security and infrastructure projects underway that require experienced management. We are looking for a skilled Security Infrastructure Project Manager role to track, document, and manage the various timelines, tasks, and resources involved in these projects., * Lead project management for security and infrastructure initiatives within the IT department.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are on track, within scope, and meeting deadlines.
- Document all project activities, including project plans, milestones, timelines, and deliverables (emphasis on documentation is critical).
- Maintain a comprehensive project schedule, tracking tasks, dependencies, and progress across teams.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including IT leadership and external vendors, to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Identify and resolve project-related risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
- Produce detailed reports for leadership and stakeholders on project status, issues, and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for project management and follow organizational processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure or security-related projects.
- Expertise in project tracking, documenting, and managing timelines and tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation skills (documentation is a top priority for this role).
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage shifting priorities.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Experience in IT security or infrastructure domains.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Endpoint monitoring and management tools
- Familiarity with public sector IT operations and government-related projects is a plus.
