Job description

Russo is one of the leading specialty geotechnical design-build contractors in the Southeast with offices in Birmingham, Alabama and Fort Worth, Texas. The Design Engineer will collaborate with other team members, to develop value engineered and cost-effective solutions for our clients. This position will collaborate with other team members to develop value engineered and cost-effective solutions for our clients. Primary Responsibilities

Develop cost-effective solutions for deep foundations, earth retention, slope stabilization, grouting, and ground improvement techniques.
Develop preliminary designs.
Provide engineering support for the preconstruction group.
Oversee and assist in the development of shop drawings.
Prepare designs for project managers.

Requirements

4-year bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
Professional Engineer licensure (PE)
3-7 years’ experience in civil, geotechnical or structural engineering.
Experience in geotechnical construction design build projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, Mathcad, and Excel.
Experience in design software such as DeepEx, Plaxis, L-Pile, All-Pile or SNail.
