Job description
Based on-site at our Maidenhead office, you will provide technical support to both office-based and remote users across the UK and India. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of hardware, software, networking, CRM, telephony, and systems issues across on-site and cloud-based environments.
You will work with both physical and virtual server environments, helping maintain the company’s IT infrastructure and ensuring systems remain secure, stable, and reliable., * Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to both office-based and remote workers with technical issues in the UK and India
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues
- Support and maintain Windows desktop and server environments
- Assist in maintaining both physical and virtual server infrastructure
- Support and administer CRM and telephony systems used by the business
- Assist with user account administration including Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Support networking equipment including switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and internet connectivity
- Install, configure, and update hardware and software
- Escalate complex technical issues where required
- Carry out monitoring and administration tasks to ensure systems perform smoothly
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and solutions and provide reporting
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades, migrations, and system improvements
- Ensure systems are secure, backed up, and operating efficiently
- Liaise with third parties such as suppliers and clients in regard to service delivery
- Help with some basic office facilities tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations.
Requirements
We are a growing business with operations in both the UK and India, supported by a mixture of on-premise and cloud-based IT systems. We are looking for a motivated and technically capable IT Support Consultant to join our Maidenhead office and help provide reliable day-to-day IT support across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of hands-on IT support experience who wants exposure to a broad range of technologies, systems, and responsibilities., The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, good communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment., * 2-3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems support and maintenance roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments
- Experience working with physical and/or virtual servers
- Good understanding of PC hardware and troubleshooting
- Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with Active Directory and user management
- Experience supporting CRM and/or telephony systems
- Experience supporting remote users and remote access technologies
- Experience supporting cloud-based applications and services
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, or backup systems
- Exposure to VoIP telephony systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
