Job description
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and protecting critical technology infrastructure? We’re seeking a SOC Analyst 1 to join a fast-paced Security Operations Center that operates around the clock to safeguard mission-critical systems and communications. In this role, you’ll serve as a first line of defense against cyber threats by monitoring security events, analyzing alerts, escalating potential incidents, and helping continuously improve detection capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional looking to build hands-on experience in threat monitoring, incident response, and security operations.
What You’ll Do:

Monitor security and network activity across mission-critical systems and communication environments.

Capture, document, and triage alerts received through various security tools, communications platforms, and monitoring systems.

Analyze events to determine severity, validity, and appropriate response actions while meeting established operational metrics.

Follow SOC playbooks and procedures for data collection, event classification, investigation, and escalation.

Maintain detailed case documentation and audit trails within designated incident management platforms.

Collaborate with security and network operations teams to improve detections, playbooks, reporting, and operational processes.

Support incident response activities and provide operational coverage across rotating 24/7/365 shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and interpret technical information.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage workloads efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience using computers, laptops, and common troubleshooting or diagnostic software tools.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
-
Ability to travel as needed, including overnight travel, and lift up to 70 pounds when required.
