Job description

As the Customer Service & Front Desk Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patrons, artists, renters, volunteers, and community members visiting or contacting the Ritz Theater.

This role combines customer service, box office support, front desk operations, and administrative assistance to ensure every guest receives a welcoming and professional experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests, patrons, artists, volunteers, and renters with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Process ticket sales in person and over the phone using the theater’s ticketing system.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails while providing accurate information about performances, rentals, events, memberships, and theater programs.
  • Assist patrons with seating questions, accessibility requests, exchanges, and general customer service needs.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk and lobby reception area.
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, data entry, document preparation, and record keeping.
  • Proofread letters, marketing materials, forms, and documents for accuracy.
  • Assist with membership inquiries and customer account updates.
  • Support daily office operations and administrative projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling patron and organizational information.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, artists, and community partners.
  • Represent the Ritz Theater with professionalism and exceptional customer service at all times.

Requirements

The Ritz Theater is a historic performing arts center dedicated to providing exceptional live entertainment and community experiences. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused professional to serve as the welcoming face of our theater.

  • Passionate about providing outstanding customer experiences, * Previous customer service or front desk experience
  • Box office or ticketing experience (preferred but not required)
  • Administrative office experience
  • Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar)
  • Comfortable learning new software systems
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
