Job description

This is a varied role that combines dedicated onsite support for one of our strategic customers with project delivery, technical escalations and infrastructure support across our wider customer base. If you enjoy building strong customer relationships, solving technical challenges and working across a range of networking and infrastructure technologies, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing onsite network and infrastructure support for a strategic customer across Central London and Clapham (minimum three days per week).
  • Maintaining, monitoring and improving enterprise network and security environments.
  • Acting as a technical escalation point for our Service Desk and Network Operations Centre.
  • Delivering infrastructure, networking and security projects for a variety of customers.
  • Installing, configuring and migrating network infrastructure.
  • Carrying out proactive maintenance, upgrades and health checks.
  • Producing clear technical documentation and supporting change management processes.
  • Participating in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours project work., This is a hybrid role. You’ll spend a minimum of three days each week providing onsite support at customer locations in Central London and Clapham. Your remaining time will be split between supporting Vizst’s wider customer base through remote support, project delivery, customer site visits and office-based work, depending on operational requirements.

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong hands-on networking experience within enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure and resolving complex networking issues.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure or networking projects.
  • Confident working directly with customers and building trusted relationships.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Desirable

  • Experience with Extreme Networks.
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Knowledge of Infoblox.
  • Wireless networking experience.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • Experience with VMware or virtualised infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
  • ITIL awareness or experience working within an ITIL-based service environment.
