The ideal candidate will bring several years of experience in commercial contracting within the healthcare or healthcare technology space, providing business-oriented guidance on agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, and BAAs, while ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements, including PHI, AI, and Tech. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid- to senior-level attorney who enjoys a steady, collaborative, and solutions-oriented environment.
Basic Requirements for the In-House Healthcare IT Contracts Attorney:
- 5+ years of legal experience, with a strong emphasis on commercial contracting in healthcare, healthcare technology, or a related regulated industry
- Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-volume agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, with a strong understanding of PHI handling, data privacy, and security considerations
- Familiarity with the interconnection of IT contracts with HIPPA
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing

- Disability insurance, Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $190,000 to $210,000. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work or acts or omissions provided within the scope of a Latitude-authorized engagement. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
