Job description

Our Software Development team works on several products:

  • Motorsports (Speedhive)
  • Active Sports (Sporthive)
  • New application & platform development
As a PHP - Java Developer you will have a unique position that works on our software tooling to help Event organizers and MYLAPS timers, to manage their events. You will work in our Active Sports domain where we contribute to to world major Marathons, Triathlons and Cycling events. (MYLAPS Sports Service Your Partner in Event Timing MYLAPS)

What You’ll Do You will get to work within a mall and international team within our MYLAPS Software Development team. In this position you are the link between our Software platform and our users (events & Timers).

We are in the process op phasing out legacy PHP solutions to generic Java solutions, which makes this position a combination between Java and PHP Development.

In this multidisciplinary team you will find colleagues with specializations in IOS, Android and Web development, as well as a QA Engineer working closely together with our Product Owner. Since we like to understand what our software means to sporters, this position offers the chance to visit small and large scale sporting events to fully understand the accuracy and meaning of our software.

Requirements

Few years of Software Development experience with Java and Springboot, and proficient enough in PHP to read and handle the legacy code. Experienced working with SQL databases and preferably knowledge of stored procedures in SQL. Strong (technical) communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus). Passion for technology and sport. Cloud experience, preferably AWS or Azure, is a bonus.
