Job description

As a statewide not-for-profit organization, we focus on empowering those who care for and educate our children, especially the early learning workforce.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Specialist to join our Help Me Grow Florida (HMGF) team. This position directly supports service delivery to children and families through data management, referral tracking, and care coordination support. The Data Specialist works within HMGF data systems to track screenings, referrals, and follow-up services, ensures accurate real-time documentation of service activities, and supports program staff and affiliates in using data to improve outcomes. This role exercises independent judgment in identifying data gaps, tracking service completion, and supporting timely connections between families and community resources. This position reports to the Data Coordinator, Help Me Grow® Florida., * Support the administration, maintenance, and ongoing operation of key Help Me Grow Florida systems, including the System for Tracking and Referrals (STAR), Brookes ASQ Online Enterprise, and the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to affiliates and program staff regarding system functionality, data entry, service tracking, and case documentation.
  • Conduct routine system reviews and monitor data quality to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of service, screening, referral, and followup information.
  • Collaborate with Care Coordinators and affiliate staff to ensure realtime data supports active case management, service delivery, and program decisionmaking.
  • Maintain and update database manuals, user guides, training materials, and other system documentation.
  • Assist with data collection, compilation, and reporting related to participant outcomes, screening and referral completion, service connection rates, and other program performance measures.
  • Provide technical assistance to affiliates regarding Help Me Grow National fidelity standards, data requirements, and return on investment (ROI) reporting.
  • Coordinate and support the development and delivery of training and professional development opportunities for Help Me Grow Florida affiliates and program staff.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, workshops, conferences, and other professional development activities as required.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 1 year of relevant experience in data management; OR two years of relevant experience in data management in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to problem solve, plan, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments with attention to detail, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
  • Computer literacy in software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, wordprocessing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to develop processes to improve workflow.
  • Technology skills to develop presentations, create reports, and support database users.
  • A strong sense of and respect for confidentiality involving clients, stakeholders, and fellow employees., * Work experience in data analysis.
