Job description

InSync Consulting is seeking an Information Systems Analyst I to support business analysis initiatives for Managed Care Administration. In this role, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, Information Services teams, and subject matter experts to gather requirements, improve workflows, and help deliver technology solutions that enhance business operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with business leaders, Information Services teams, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and process reviews to identify business needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Create workflow diagrams, process maps, use cases, functional specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend system or process improvements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Assist with application support by researching issues, identifying root causes, and recommending solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support continuous service improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Knowledge of workflow analysis, process mapping, data flow modeling, and use case development.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional system and process solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) or process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies and business process optimization.
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio or other workflow/process mapping tools.
  • Familiarity with business case development, KPIs, statements of work, or project lifecycle documentation.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and building consensus among stakeholders.
  • Background supporting Information Services, healthcare, managed care, health plans, or enrollment operations., * Do you have the ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements and system/process solutions?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

  • workflow analysis or data flow modeling: 1 year (Required)

Benefits & conditions

$40 - $44 an hour - Full-time, Contract
