Technology Field Technician

West Herr Automotive Group is looking for a Field Technology Technician to join our Technology team. This is a hands-on, mobile role that serves as the primary resource for onsite IT support, hardware deployment, and technology projects across our dealership locations throughout Western New York. You’ll be on the road regularly, providing white-glove technology service directly at our stores.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for onsite IT service requests across West Herr locations
• Travel regularly between dealership locations to fulfill hardware and support needs
• Deploy, configure, and install new workstations, peripherals, and technology equipment
• Perform new user hardware setups including workstation build-out and desk-side orientation
• Handle hardware break/fix including computers, printers, phones, and networking equipment
• Manage hardware transport, asset tracking, and inventory across locations
• Support technology projects including hardware refresh cycles and location buildouts
• Participate in user provisioning and de-provisioning in coordination with the help desk team
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and assets deployed

• 3+ years of hands-on IT or field technician experience
• Comfortable with hardware installation, cable management, and physical setup tasks
• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• CDK Drive DMS hardware experience a plus
• Cisco IP Phone and Meraki networking experience a plus
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
