Job description

Care First Rehabilitation, is a CARF-Accredited Neuro-Rehabilitation organization serving adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries across multiple locations in Troy, Farmington, and Sterling Heights. We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Onsite / Field Technician to support our growing team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting staff across clinical and residential settings, and maintaining the technology that enables high-quality client care., The IT Onsite / Field Technician provides hands-on technical support across Care First Rehabilitation’s facilities. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring equipment, supporting end users, and maintaining IT systems and inventory. The ideal candidate is client-focused, adaptable, and able to work independently across multiple sites., * Provide support to the Human Resources team with orientation and employee onboarding

  • Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN)
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and hardware components
  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and system updates
  • Set up new user workstations, monitors, docking stations, and accessories
  • Support staff with system access, password resets, and basic training on technology tools
  • Perform break/fix repairs and coordinate vendor-managed hardware replacements
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and update asset records
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support activities
  • Follow IT service management (ITSM) processes including incident, request, and problem management
  • Assist with office moves, new facility setups, and technology refresh projects
  • Coordinate with external vendors for escalated repairs or specialized equipment needs
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, security standards, and data protection protocols
  • Support system upgrades, rollouts, and new technology implementations across sites

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as an IT Field Technician, Desktop Support Engineer, or similar onsite support role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common enterprise applications
  • Experience with Active Directory (user accounts, password resets, group membership)
  • Ability to diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, Zendesk, Freshservice, etc.)
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage field visits across multiple locations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting healthcare, rehabilitation, or multi-site environments
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, device management tools, and inventory systems
  • Experience coordinating with vendors for hardware repairs or replacements, * Bachelor’s (Preferred), * Help desk: 3 years (Required)
  • Microsoft 365: 5 years (Required)
  • Artificial intelligence : 2 years (Preferred)
  • Web design: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Website management: 3 years (Preferred)
