Application Technician

Our client, a leading metal manufacturer in Novi, MI, is hiring an Applications Technician with hands-on experience in Tube Bending, Wire Bending, and/or End Forming. This role is customer-facing, technical, and travel-heavy-ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, machine set-ups, and supporting customers across the U.S.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and validate customer parts; create & optimize part programs
• Install, set up, and program machines & tooling
• Perform machine installations at customer sites
• Support customers during and after the sales process
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues during commissioning & validation
• Review customer drawings for feasibility
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales & Sales teams on features/accessories
• Conduct customer run-off acceptance tests (training provided)
• Install/remove machine components per sales order
• Deliver customer training on Tube & Wire Forming products
• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide outstanding service
• Follow all safety protocols
• Travel 75-100% nationally

• 2+ years in Tube Bending, Wire Bending, or End Forming
• Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude
• Ability to read technical drawings & manuals
• Experience with 2D/3D design software (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD) - plus
• Understanding of GD&T - plus
• Clean driving record (no major violations in 7 years)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving & time-management skills
• Highly organized; able to work independently
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Italian or Spanish fluency - preferred but not required
