Job description
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s Human Resource Information Systems, with a primary focus on UKG Ready. This role serves as the subject matter expert for all HR technology platforms and acts as a key liaison between HR, Payroll, IT, and end users to ensure data integrity, system efficiency, and an exceptional employee experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Manage system updates, patches, and new feature rollouts in coordination with IT and the UKG support team
- Build and maintain workflows, business rules, and system configurations to support HR and payroll operations
- Ensure data integrity across all HR systems through regular audits and reconciliation
- Oversee and maintain system integrations between UKG Ready and third-party platforms including payroll, benefits administration, and time & attendance systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to identify system needs and deliver solutions
- Document system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, managers, and HR team members regarding system inquiries, access issues, and troubleshooting
- Serve as the first point of contact for HRIS-related tickets and escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Develop and deliver end user training materials and system guides to drive adoption and self-sufficiency
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver a high-quality service experience
- Ensure all HR systems and data practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations including HIPAA, FLSA, and EEO requirements
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with data security policies
- Support audits by providing accurate system data and documentation as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of HRIS experience, with hands-on expertise in UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready)
- Strong understanding of HR, payroll, benefits, and time & attendance processes
- Proven ability to manage system integrations, data feeds, and file configurations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data manipulation)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service to a diverse employee population
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting multi-state or multi-location organizations
