Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Technician to join our technology team! In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. Your expertise will support our organization’s technological needs, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and deliver exceptional IT support to users across various departments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, making a tangible impact on daily operations and overall productivity., * Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms
  • Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
  • Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), and firewall settings
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Microsoft Windows Server environments, and SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for user management and system deployment
  • Monitor and support IT infrastructure components like switches, routers (including Meraki devices), and network security tools such as firewalls
  • Utilize help desk tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy to track incidents, manage requests, and document solutions effectively
  • Assist with the deployment of updates and patches using tools like SCCM; perform routine maintenance on computer hardware and software systems
  • Support remote access solutions including VPN configurations; troubleshoot connectivity issues related to TCP/IP protocols
  • Collaborate with network administrators to ensure optimal LAN performance; assist in network administration tasks such as DNS management and TCP troubleshooting
  • Maintain documentation of IT assets, configurations, procedures, and incident reports for audit purposes

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Strong technical support skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues efficiently

  • Proficiency in software troubleshooting across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Extensive knowledge of computer management practices including hardware setup, upgrades, repairs, and inventory management
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite applications for productivity enhancement and user support
  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN architecture, VPNs, firewall configuration & security protocols including Cisco Meraki devices
  • Experience with IT support tools like ServiceNow, Jira or BMC Remedy for incident tracking; familiarity with SCCM for system deployment & updates
  • Knowledge of Active Directory management including user account creation/deletion; GPO configuration for security policies
  • Ability to manage mobile devices effectively within enterprise environments; familiarity with operating systems including Windows Server environments and macOS/Linux systems
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach; capable of explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • Strong analysis skills to diagnose problems quickly; ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
