Job description

We are looking for a skilled Backend Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, hands-on experience building production-grade REST APIs, and a solid understanding of microservices architecture and relational databases., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.

  • Build and maintain production-ready REST APIs using FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
  • Develop, optimize, and manage relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Design and implement microservices-based architectures for scalable applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Work with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines for deployments.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
  • Strong expertise in FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Good understanding of API security, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming in Python.
  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting production applications.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments.

Benefits & conditions

$35 - $50 an hour - Contract
