Excel Data Specialist

We’re looking for a computer-savvy, detail-oriented Data Specialist to manage order input, inventory tracking, and scan-based trading data for our growing distribution operation. This is not a general admin or warehouse job - it’s a desk-based role built around Excel and inventory systems, ideal for someone who’s comfortable with spreadsheets, data entry accuracy, and learning new software quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Enter and manage purchase orders, shipments, and receipts with high accuracy

• Maintain inventory records tied to scan-based trading programs with retail partners

• Work daily in Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data cleanup) and the Microsoft 365 suite

• Learn and operate Fishbowl Inventory software (training provided - no prior experience required)

• Reconcile data discrepancies between systems and flag issues before they become problems

• Coordinate with the warehouse team on stock levels and shipment timing

• Communicate with vendors and customers on order status and product availability

• Support the sales team with accurate, up-to-date product and inventory data

• Strong, demonstrable Excel skills - comfort with formulas, sorting/filtering, and organizing large data sets (required)

• Solid computer literacy across Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

• Currently pursuing or completed a degree/certificate in Information Technology, Business Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a strong plus - students are welcome to apply

• High attention to detail - this role is data-integrity-critical

• Ability to pick up new software quickly (we’ll train you on Fishbowl and our internal systems)

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and with a team

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree (in progress or completed) preferred, * Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required)
