Job description

The Helpdesk Technician position in Information Technology is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining PC equipment; providing support for a wide variety of software applications and completing requests for new service in a dynamic, high-paced environment; and relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform various other job duties.

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Some combination of training and experience in PC technical support, OR one year of experience as a PC technician
  3. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures for PC repair

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Ability to perform work with a positive attitude and in a timely manner
  2. Ability to work well in a team environment

Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility, Ability to lift and/or move heavy equipment
