Security Architect - VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) / vDefend

We are seeking a high-caliber Security Architect to lead the security certification and architectural validation of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) for a global financial services enterprise. This is a remote, full-time engagement focused on ensuring the VCF stack meets stringent Global Information Security (GIS) standards through expert implementation of VMware vDefend.

What You’ll Do

• Lead security architecture validation and certification of a VCF environment against enterprise-grade Global Information Security (GIS) standards
• Design and implement VMware vDefend to meet financial services compliance and security requirements
• Serve as the technical authority on VCF security posture, working directly with enterprise stakeholders
• Produce architectural documentation and certification artifacts suitable for audit and compliance review
• Partner with platform, network, and security teams to remediate gaps identified during validation

• Deep hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) architecture
• Proven expertise with VMware vDefend (NSX-based security/microsegmentation)
• Background in enterprise security architecture, ideally within regulated industries (financial services preferred)
• Experience delivering security certifications against formal compliance frameworks
• Strong communication skills to work with global stakeholders and security governance teams
• Comfortable operating independently in a remote, client-facing delivery role

$100 - $150 an hour - Full-time, Contract
