Apple Administrator/Support Specialist

This position administers the software and services that are non-ERP related and plays a key part in providing first tier technology support to employees and students, and providing event support. This position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all campus Apple computers and assists support of MS Windows computers. Responsibilities also include, deploying Apple and Windows images to campus computers, maintaining classroom equipment such as projectors, installing/maintaining campus printers, installing/troubleshooting departmental software on client machines when required, and working with end users to identify/troubleshoot/resolve reported issues. This position assists with the set-up, tear down, and the operation of the audio/visual support equipment for all campus events.

Essential Functions of the Position:

1. Plan, implement, and administer server applications for the college environment

2. Administer, install, maintain all Apple computers and integrate into the college computing environment

3. Maintain computers in campus offices, classrooms and labs

4. Install and maintain campus printers and copiers

5. Provide a professional and seamless experience for campus events and meetings, operating audio/visual equipment during events including evening and weekend hours

6. Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues and incidences

7. Supervise Student PC Technicians

1. Two to five years of experience working on PC’s and printers.

2. Basic network functionality knowledge required.

3. Ability to communicate well with others.

4. Ability to work a flexible and changing schedule that includes evenings and weekends

Required Experience & Education:

1. Two to five years of experience working on PC’s and printers.

2. Certifications: A+, Network+ preferred

3. MacOS knowledge, MS Active Directory, image deployment

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

2. Sufficient physical dexterity to bend, stoop, lift, and climb to perform duties of the job.
