Software Developer III

• Recent hands-on professional experience building and shipping production software with C# and .NET; your most recent work should be hands-on coding.
• Full-stack development experience, with React and TypeScript strongly preferred so you can hit the ground running on our front end. Experience with other modern web technologies such as Angular or Vue is welcome and transferable.
• Strong grounding in object-oriented design, data structures, testing, and building maintainable, reliable software.
• Comfortable working in complex systems-including multiple services, distributed components, or other non-trivial architectures-with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and own a well-scoped feature or service end-to-end, from design through delivery.
• AI fluency in day-to-day engineering work, including hands-on experience using AI tools in your engineering stack and workflow. Bonus value is placed on measurable outcomes from AI adoption and experience implementing solutions that leverage generative and non-generative AI models.
• Clear communication, collaborative instincts, and a mindset of continuous learning, curiosity, and improvement that contributes to the success of the Scrum process.
• A product mindset-you connect your work to user and business outcomes and can describe what changed because you built it, not just what you built.
• Exposure to HCM, Workforce Management, Benefits, or Payroll domains is an asset.

About the Opportunity

We are building the next generation of how customers are implemented in Dayforce. This team is transforming a massively complex process into one that can be led by customers, partners, and Dayforce employees with the support of both generative and non-generative AI. If you are energized by solving meaningful product and engineering problems, improving how work gets done, and helping shape AI-powered experiences that scale, this is an opportunity to make a real impact. This is an intermediate-level role where you’ll own well-scoped features and components within a service, delivering solid execution on moderately complex problems while partnering with your team when requirements are ambiguous.

What You’ll Get to Do

• Design and build scalable full-stack software that greatly reduces manual effort, improves quality, and creates an engaging implementation experience for customers and internal teams.
• Use AI tools as part of your engineering stack and workflow to move faster and work smarter, with bonus value placed on experience implementing solutions that leverage generative and non-generative AI models.
• Build across services, APIs, and modern web applications, integrating with operational, reporting, and end-user systems.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate requirements into thoughtful technical solutions.
• Generate, write, and review clean, maintainable code while contributing to code reviews and helping raise quality through testing and sound engineering practices.
