Frontend Software Development Engineer (Bilingual English & Mandarin)

Tigerless is seeking a Frontend Software Development Engineer (SDE) to build, maintain, and improve user-facing web applications and internal digital tools. This role is focused primarily on frontend development, including translating product requirements and high-fidelity designs into responsive, reliable, and reusable interfaces. The ideal candidate has strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern frontend framework, and can collaborate effectively with designers and backend developers throughout the development lifecycle., * Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive web applications based on product requirements, technical specifications, and approved designs.

• Translate high-fidelity UI/UX designs into accurate, functional, and user-friendly frontend interfaces.

• Build reusable, maintainable, and performance-optimized frontend components and modules.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product stakeholders, and backend developers to define technical solutions and ensure smooth implementation.

• Use Figma Dev Mode to review design specifications, spacing, assets, and component details during development handoff.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, integration, and release activities.

• Identify and resolve frontend bugs, browser compatibility issues, performance issues, and usability concerns.

• Contribute to frontend technical standards, documentation, component libraries, and ongoing engineering improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with hands-on experience building production-quality web interfaces.

• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework, preferably Vue.js or React.

• Ability to create responsive layouts and reusable components with clean, maintainable code.

• Understanding of frontend performance optimization, browser compatibility, accessibility, and common web development best practices.

• Experience using Git for version control and collaborating through a shared development workflow.

• Ability to interpret high-fidelity designs and use Figma Dev Mode for basic developer handoff and implementation details.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent learning skills.

• Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with REST APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.

• Familiarity with TypeScript, frontend testing tools, state management, or component libraries.

• Experience working in a startup, InsurTech, FinTech, healthcare, or other fast-paced product environment.

• Basic understanding of backend development or databases is helpful, but full-stack expertise is not required.
