Job description
- Install Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) in data center environments
- Work with both LC and MPO fiber connectors for high-performance connectivity
- Dress and organize cables using proper wire management techniques, including cable trays and ladder racks
- Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other data center hardware
- Accurately label all cables and components to maintain meticulous documentation and organization
- Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, and technical blueprints
- Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety
Requirements
- Minimum 3 year of hands-on experience working in data centers
- Proven experience with Cat6 and fiber optic cabling installation (pre-terminated preferred)
- Familiarity with LC and MPO connectors
- Working knowledge of telecom and data network infrastructure
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
- Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to travel to job sites within Georgia as needed
